You can delete your Zelbi account yourself, from inside the app or on this page, in under a minute. This page says how, and exactly what happens when you do.
That is all. You are signed out at once and the account cannot be used again.
This is the screen you will see, word for word:
Removed: your display name, photo and bio; your active listings and their photographs; your saved items; your sign-in. Anyone who looks at a conversation you were in sees "Deleted user" in place of your name.
Cancelled: any pickup you had arranged, on either side. If you had claimed an item, the hold on your card is released and nothing is charged. If someone had claimed your item, their claim is cancelled and they are told the pickup was cancelled.
Kept, without your name: the record that a pickup was completed or a dispute was raised, and its outcome. These stay so that the other person's history is still true and so that we can answer a legal or safety question about a transaction that happened. Your name is not attached to them. Listings that completed or expired are kept the same way and keep their title, description and photos, and pickup confirmation photos stay too.
Kept, from your email address: a scrambled, one-way fingerprint of it. It cannot be turned back into your address. It is never used to contact you or for analytics. It is used to recognise the address if it signs up again, and to stop the one-time credit for a first giveaway, a referral credit and invite codes being given to it twice.
Not ours to remove: Stripe keeps its own record of any payment you made, under its own legal obligations. Notifications the other person already received keep the wording they arrived with. A photograph that is deleted may remain reachable by someone holding its exact link for a short time after deletion while cached copies expire.
Deletion is immediate. There is no grace period, no recovery window, and no way for us to restore the account afterwards. If you think you might want to come back, log out instead of deleting.
You can delete your account on this page instead. We email a 6-digit code to prove the address is yours, then delete the account it signs in to.
